An outstanding piece and the most stylish of De Villes! A 1960s 18 carat yellow gold ‘clous de Paris’ Omega
The sensational ‘clous de Paris’ dial is decorated with applied stick indices and black baton hands as well as the Omega lettering and the marque’s applied logo at 12 o’clock
The solid gold case matches the finish of the dial and remains in wonderful condition. The hooded lugs lend themselves to the elegant nature of the piece
As well as being stamped ‘OR 18k’ to the right of the original winding crown (wonderfully aged), the case back is boldly hallmarked to the inside. Alongside the obvious fineness marks is stamped the profile of Helvetia, the female national personification of Switzerland and the county’s hallmark for 18 carat gold
The original acrylic glass is in good condition and shows signs of wear commensurate with age. This can be replaced by a brand new acrylic crystal upon request
Fitted is a brown crocodile leather Bucherer strap of a similar vintage to the watch. No doubt the two have been together for many years
Fastening the strap is an original gold plated Omega buckle
Powering the watch is the iconic and ever reliable Omega cal.620 manual wind movement. A nice clean example it runs smoothly and keeps good time
Presented in its original Omega box
