1970s Sterling Silver Roy King
1970s Sterling Silver Roy King
A proper Sterling Silver piece by esteemed jeweller Roy King, winner of two first prizes, a second and a third at the British Modern Jewellery Exhibition in 1961. The winning pieces are now in the permanent collection of Goldsmith’s Hall
The super cool patinated Milanese mesh finish on the dial continues through from the bracelet. Telling the time are two sleek black baton hands placed between Roy King’s signature and ‘Swiss’
The rectangular monocoque case features a stepped bezel and is decorated on the reverse with bold assay and hallmarks
The Milanese mesh bracelet remains in excellent condition and features King’s signature buckle clasp. It too is boldly stamped for London 1975
The Swiss made, manual wind Bueche-Girod movement runs smoothly and keeps excellent time
