A 1973 Sterling Silver piece by esteemed jeweller Roy King, winner of two first prizes, a second and a third at the British Modern Jewellery Exhibition in 1961. The winning pieces are now in the permanent collection of Goldsmith’s Hall
Alongside the renowned Anglo-Italian jeweller Andrew Grima, King was a pioneer of the ‘Bark Effect’, a desirable finish that lead to the acquisition of his pieces by celebrities such as Tom Jones and George Harrison, with Pattie Boyd (Harrison’s then wife) wearing one of King’s wedding bands to their ceremony
This stylish Sterling Silver piece features a minimalist mirror dial with the only detailing being black baton hands, King’s signature and ‘Swiss’
The monocoque case features a sleek stepped bezel and the workshops iconic statement hallmarks to the case-back. The original winding crown is decorated with King’s Logo
The original acrylic glass is clear and secure
