1970s Sterling Silver Roy King Wristwatch
1970s Sterling Silver Roy King Wristwatch
A rare 1975 wristwatch from Roy King, esteemed jeweller and winner of two firsts, a second and third prizes at the 1961 British Modern Jewellery Exhibition
The Sterling Silver ridged case is uniquely tarnished in a manner only time can replicate. Bold hallmarks adorn to the case-back and King’s logo decorates the winding crown
The refined white dial features black Roman numerals, ‘chemin de fer’ minute track, lozenge hands and the signature of the ‘Saviour of Sterling’ himself
The original pressed leather strap is attached but worn at points. An aftermarket black pressed leather strap will be included. The original Sterling Silver buckle’s patina matches that of the case
The original synthetic crystal glass is unmarked
Powered by a Swiss made, manual wind Bueche-Girod movement, the watch runs wonderfully and keeps excellent time
