A stylish Sterling Silver vermeil Bueche Girod c.1990

Vital Bueche founded Bueche-Girod in Bienne in 1947.  The company garnered such respect from the 1950s through the 70s that brands such as Cartier, Bulova and Universal Geneve used their cases and movements in many of their pieces

Frank Sinatra was known to have worn a Bueche-Girod whilst not a small portion of Scorsese’s budget for his movie ‘Casino’ was spent on Robert De Niro’s tri-colour piece

The flawless white dial is decorated with black Roman numerals that are complimented by black sword hands

The gold plated Sterling Silver case remains in marvellous condition with minimal signs of wear.  The striated ‘articulated’ or ‘hinged’ lugs swing smoothly and allow for a comfortable fit no matter the wrist

Both the inside and outside of the brushed case back boast bold hallmarks for Sterling Silver

The original mineral crystal glass is clear and unmarked

Time is set with the original cabochon onyx set crown

The original Bueche Girod black pressed leather strap remains in great shape, as does the original Sterling Silver buckle stamped 925

The Swiss quartz movement has just been cleaned and the battery replaced.  It runs smoothly and keeps good time
