A near antique 14k white rolled gold plated Bulova wristwatch circa 1927
The dial on this unusual piece features bold black Arabic numerals, a ‘chemin de fer’ minute track, a sub-seconds dial at 6 and syringe hands
Of course the stand out feature is the crazy cool bright yellow domed/ faceted acrylic crystal glass. It remains in excellent condition and sets the piece apart from other Art Deco watches of a similar vintage
The embellished bezel is in lovely shape, as is the rest of the case with only two minor dents to the hinged case-back
The case-back is stamped ‘Bulova’ alongside a patent date of 11 January 1927, ‘14k Rold Gold Plate’, ‘New York’ and a reference number of ‘8203873’. It also features periodic service markings
Fitted with a brand new black calf skin strap
The Swiss made, 15 jewel Bulova manual wind movement runs smoothly and keeps excellent time
