A vintage 1950s 9ct yellow gold cushion case Tudor wristwatch
The wonderfully patinated dial is decorated with golden sword hands, applied Dauphine indices with applied quarter hour Roman numerals, a sub seconds a dial at 6 o’clock and the Tudor rose and lettering at 12
The solid gold case remains in very good condition with a ‘375’ fineness marking next to the winding crown. The fixed lugs remain secure
The ‘perlage’ finish inside of the case back is stamped ‘ROLEX’ as well as ‘RWC’ (Rolex Watch Company) and shows bold assay marks for Edinburgh 1957 with a reference ‘7197’
The acrylic glass is in good condition with a horizontal hairline scratch as photographed
Fitted with an aged cream grosgrain strap that has no doubt accompanied the watch for many years
The Tudor signed manual wind movement runs smoothly and keeps good time. There is slight dial movement when setting and winding
