The elegant dial features a ‘clous de Paris’ finish and is decorated with a mix of applied baton quarter hour indices and black stick indices, blued steel leaf hands and the marque’s signature at 12 o’clock
The solid yellow gold case remains in lovely condition with sharp facets and defined lugs. The inside of the case back is stamped ‘Baume & Mercier’ and, as well as fineness markings, bears the profile of Helvetia, the female personification of Switzerland and the country’s hallmark for 18 carat gold
The original domed/curvex acrylic crystal glass is in good condition
Fitted is a vintage brown calf skin strap and gold tone buckle
