Vintage 1970s Maurice Guerdat

A super cool 1970s ‘Pebble’ watch from Maurice Guerdat, a Swiss marque recognised for its bold modernist designs 

The clean champagne sunburst dial features black baton hands and a date aperture at 3 o’clock

The thick 20 micron yellow gold plated monocoque case remains in excellent condition without visible signs of wear to the plating 

The brushed case back is stamped ‘PLAQUE G 20’ for 20 micron plating as well as ‘MOD DEP’ or ‘Modèle Déposé’ indicating a patented design 

The original acrylic crystal is in good shape 

Fitted is a new black pressed leather strap 

The automatic ETA cal.2876 Swiss made automatic movement has just undergone a full service.  It runs smoothly and keeps good time
