Vintage 1970s S.T. Dupont Ligne 1

A c.1970 S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 ‘Large’ butane lighter

Now discontinued, this elegant model had a long run from its first introduction in 1965 to its discontinuation in 2013

The 20 micron rose gold plating remains completely intact, as does the black ‘Laque de Chine’ or Chinese lacquer panelling 

At the base of the spine of the lighter is written ‘Dupont’ in red Chinese characters

The lid is lightly dented on the reverse side.  This does not at all impair the lighter’s functionality 

Presented in very good working order with a good range of flame height adjustment 

‘Red’ Dupont branded gas is recommended for refuelling
