A proper Sterling Silver piece by esteemed jeweller Roy King, winner of two first prizes, a second and a third at the British Modern Jewellery Exhibition in 1961. The winning pieces are now in the permanent collection of Goldsmith’s Hall

Alongside the renowned Anglo-Italian jeweller Andrew Grima, King was a pioneer of the ‘Bark Effect’, a desirable finish that lead to the acquisition of his pieces by celebrities such as Tom Jones and George Harrison, with Pattie Boyd (Harrison’s then wife) wearing one of King’s wedding bands to their ceremony

The patinated silver bark effect dial is adorned only with black baton hands, King’s signature and ‘Swiss’

The Sterling Silver lugged bark effect bangle bracelet is in great shape with only minor marks and signs of tarnish.  It’s securely fastened by the brand’s iconic multi setting buckle clasp, boldly hallmarked for London 1974

The Sterling Silver monocoque case features a stepped bezel and clear hallmarks to the case-back for London 1973.  The case-back is slightly dented, purely cosmetic

The original winding crown is attached while the original glass has been replaced by a custom cut piece

The Swiss made, manual wind, FHF cal.69 movement runs smoothly and keeps excellent time
