A sterling silver vermeil piece by esteemed jeweller Roy King, winner of two first prizes, a second and a third at the British Modern Jewellery Exhibition in 1961. The winning pieces are now in the permanent collection of Goldsmith’s Hall
The minimalist black dial needs no further decoration. It’s adorned only with golden hands and King’s signature at 12
The solid silver vermeil monocoque case (reminiscent of the Cartier Ceinture) is presented in good condition. The brushed caseback is decorated with King’s iconic statement hallmarks as well as assay marks for London 1976
Worn on the original lugged sprung/hinged vermeil bangle bearing bold hallmarks for 1978
The original acrylic glass is clear with a below surface hairline crack at 5 o’clock
Wound by the original synthetic cabochon sapphire set crown is the Swiss made manual wind FHF cal.69. It runs smoothly and keeps good time
