A vintage (not far off antique) 1932 9 carat gold Zenith wristwatch
The solid gold case was manufactured by Dennison, one of the late 19th and early 20th century’s leading watch case manufacturers. Due to high import taxes on luxury goods between countries, it was not uncommon for Swiss brands such as Zenith and Omega to ship base movements to Dennison in Birmingham to set in their locally made cases
This fine example remains is wonderful condition with bold hallmarks and periodic service markings to the case-back and, more interestingly, to the underside of the fixed lugs
The white enamel dial is in lovely condition with slight marks and features elegant luminous hands sans lume, precise Arabic numerals and a sub seconds dial at 6 o’clock
The Zenith signed movement runs smoothly and keeps excellent time
Attached is a brand new nato strap
